Exhibiting at the 2025 MLA Convention
The 2025 MLA convention will take place in New Orleans from 9 to 12 January 2025, and the exhibit hall is open from 10 to 12 January. Exhibitor applications will be available in May 2024. Submit your exhibit booth application along with payment by 13 June for priority-point booth assignments and to be listed in the printed Program.

- 16 May 2024 - Exhibit application deadline to receive five priority points
- 13 June 2024 - Exhibit application deadline to be listed in the printed Program
- 3 July 2024 - Deadline for placing an ad in the printed Program (September PMLA)
- 17 July 2024 - Materials deadline for print ads
- 26 August 2024 – Exhibit booth cancellation deadline for refunds (see details below)
- 1 December 2024 – Late cancellation deadline (no refunds; see details below)
- 9 January 2025 – Exhibitor setup
- 10–12 January 2025 – Exhibit hall open to attendees

2025 Exhibit Pricing and Benefits*
All in-person exhibit booths include an online exhibitor presence and complimentary badges with access to sessions. Furniture is not included.
Premiere booth - $2,250
- Located in a prime location, close to the front and center of the exhibit hall
- Includes five all-access badges, which include access to sessions
- Additional badges may be purchased
A Booth - $1,950
- Located in the center and side aisles of the exhibit hall
- Includes four all-access badges with access to sessions
- Additional badges may be purchased
B booth - $1,640
- Located in the rear and sides of the exhibit hall
- Includes three all-access badges with access to sessions
- Additional badges may be purchased
Online only - $1,100 (includes online-only convention access for one person)

- Listing in the printed Program (13 June deadline)
- Listing in the online program, convention app, and MLA website (includes live links to exhibitor’s website and other materials for six months)
- Exhibitor page on the online program and app
- Access to additional marketing opportunities
Exhibitor Booth Assignments
Priority Booth Assignments
The MLA uses a point system to assign general exhibit space for applications and payment received by 13 June. Points are accumulated based on the number of years exhibiting, number of booths reserved, ads in the Program, sponsorships, etc. Submit your booth application and payment early to gain extra points toward your booth assignment.
Contracts received on or before
- 16 May receive five bonus points
- 23 May receive four bonus points
- 30 May receive three bonus points
- 6 June receive two bonus points
- 13 June receive one bonus point
Applications and payments received after 13 June will be processed in the order they are received, based on availability.
University Press Exhibitors
The MLA reserves a section in the exhibit hall for those university presses who find that exhibiting in a group provides them greater visibility. Booths in the university press block will be assigned in the order the forms and appropriate payments are received, not on the basis of accumulated points.
Exhibitor Cancellation Options
Before 27 August
- Keep 2025 online exhibit ($1,100) and receive a refund of the booth balance.
- Cancel completely and receive a full refund minus the $100 cancellation fee.
- Cancel completely and apply entire 2025 booth payment to 2026 booth reservation.
27 August to 1 December
- Keep 2025 online exhibit ($1,100) and apply booth balance to 2026 booth reservation.
- Cancel completely and apply entire 2025 booth payment, minus the $100 cancellation fee, to 2026 booth reservation.

Advertising in the Program

Full Page: $1,280 6" wide × 8.75" high
Half Page: $840 6" wide × 4.25" high
Trim Size: 7.5" wide × 10.5" high
2024 PMLA (volume 139) advertisers receive special rates (full page, $870; half page, $560). Advertisers who place ads in three or four issues receive a discounted rate (full page, $1,070; half page, $690).
No cash or agency discounts accepted.
You may reserve advertising space for the September 2024 (Program) issue of PMLA by downloading the 2024 order form from the MLA website. All ads should be submitted in PDF and emailed to aschneider@mla.org.
Payment
Advertisers will be invoiced directly by Cambridge University Press.
